LinkedIn Ads Under ₹5 CPC: The CvolvePro Campaign Breakdown

LinkedIn is supposed to be expensive. This campaign held CPC at ₹4.69 across 386,438 impressions and 8,752 clicks. Here is the content strategy that made it possible.

LinkedIn has a reputation in India: great audience, punishing costs. Most accounts see CPCs many times higher than Meta.

Why the cost stayed low

LinkedIn's auction rewards relevance heavily. High CTR lowers effective cost, and CTR on LinkedIn is driven almost entirely by whether the post reads like content or like an advertisement.

CvolvePro is a career-tech platform — resumes, ATS compatibility, interview prep. The campaign did not advertise the product. It published the uncomfortable truths its buyers already suspected:

  • Most job seekers don't lose opportunities because they're unskilled. They lose them before a human ever sees their application.
  • Here's a hiring truth nobody explains clearly: you can be qualified and still get zero callbacks.
  • Got rejected after the final round? You prepared well. You answered confidently. But still did not get the offer.

Each one names a specific, humiliating experience the reader has had. That is why people stop scrolling, and stopping is what makes the click cheap.

Video outperformed static — but only some video

Five video ads ran alongside static images. The winners were not production-heavy. They were direct statements of the same insights: Resume Writing ≠ Resume Optimization. Still Applying but Not Hearing Back? Your Resume Is Not ATS-Ready.

Short, plainly shot, addressing one specific pain. On LinkedIn, polish is worth less than precision.

The targeting was deliberately broad

Job seekers, early-career professionals, tech professionals. No narrow layering of seniority, company size and function.

Narrow targeting on LinkedIn drives CPM up sharply, and in a testing phase you are paying a premium for precision you have not yet earned. Broader targeting plus content that self-selects the right reader produced better economics: the wrong person scrolls past, costing nothing.

What this phase was actually for

Read the objective honestly: this was an initial growth phase. The goal was awareness, audience mapping, and identifying which content themes resonate — not immediate revenue.

That is a legitimate objective, provided you say so in advance. The output was 220K+ professionals reached, 8,700+ clicks from career-focused audiences, and a validated set of content themes to scale.

Where this goes wrong is when an awareness campaign is judged on lead volume after the fact, or worse, when an agency runs an awareness campaign and reports it as a revenue campaign.

Applying this to your B2B account

  1. Lead with the problem, not the product. The reader must recognise themselves in the first line.
  2. Let content do the targeting. Broad audience, self-selecting message.
  3. Test static and video in the same phase, because the winner is not predictable.
  4. Watch CTR as your cost lever. On LinkedIn it moves CPC more than bid strategy does.
  5. Define the phase objective before spending, and report against that objective.
